External CD/DVD Reader & Writer
I know "just working" is a low bar, but not what you get with really inexpensive computer components. i bought a different brand drive that was about $4 less than this Gotega drive. It uses two USB cables (one for data, one for power), and I could not get any of three Windows 11 computers to recognize the drive. I returned that drive and bought this one. The single USB cable tucks in to the profile of the bottom of the drive, and when plugged in to my laptop, Windows 11 immediately recognized the drive and displayed the contents of my CD. Up and running in 2 minutes after opening the box. It just works.
